Project Promotion

Tenders for projects are issued by the funding body covering particular research areas or topics. In addition to foundations and public institutions, companies may also act as project funding bodies. The tender lays down the terms of eligibility for funding applications. Projects are usually approved subject to being completed within a set period of time and for a set amount of funding. Both personnel and consumable material costs are generally covered by the funding provider.

Collaborative projects are projects which are carried out at several institutions or organisations. It is not uncommon for such projects to have the aim of involving cooperation between universities, non-university research institutions and companies. Collaborative projects usually deal with discrete research topics covering several areas of the field of innovation. The entire process of innovation should be covered in this undertaking: from basic research to implementing the new products, procedures or services.
