Awards

Prizes are awarded for outstanding achievements and results in research and are usually conferred upon research projects which have been completed. In addition to the financial considerations, prizes are also seen to confer prestige and are acquiring ever more significance in terms of academic competition. Amongst other institutions, prizes are awarded by specialised academic associations, non-university research institutions, private foundations, companies as well as universities and research bodies.
There are no guidelines or conditions. Prizes are awarded at each stage of an academic career.
