Professor at Universities of applied Sciences

A doctorate is the precondition for a professorship at a university of applied sciences. Another condition is 5 years of occupational experience after the doctorate, of which 3 years have to be done at a non-university institution. The kind of working experience depends on the subject that has to be taught and on the requirements of the department. The conditions for professors at universities of applied sciences are set in the Laws of Higher Education of the Federal States.
